Shakur Mohammed is a graduate of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana and currently plays at MLS side Orlando City SC.

After honing his skills on and off the pitch at the Academy in Ghana, Shakur chose to pursue the academic pathway which has taken him to some of the most prestigious educational institutions and soccer clubs in the world.

​

After graduating from Millbrook School, Shakur continued his academic and soccer journey at Duke University as a student-athlete. He helped his side to impressive feats, including an ACC Regular Championship and a quarter-final finish at the NCAA tournament, alongside an undefeated regular season for the first time since 1982.

​

Shakur's impressive performances earned him numerous individual accolades, including All-America First Team honors, places on the All-South Region First Team and All-ACC First Team, and was named ACC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022.

​

In 2023, Shakur was selected as the No.2 overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft by Orlando City SC, marking the start of his pro soccer career.
