Game-Changer Princess Marfo Joins Bay FC From FC Nordsjælland

Princess Marfo joins Bay FC

Right to Dream Ghana Academy Graduate Princess Marfo has officially joined National Women’s Soccer League side Bay FC.

While celebrating our graduates’ achievements has become almost second nature for us at Right to Dream, Princess's move has hit us a bit differently.

Beyond being a fantastic personal achievement, Princess’s journey offers a profound insight into the untapped potential of our young female talents. It’s a testament to the impact we can collectively make, resonating deeply with our mission to unlock, support, and celebrate the capabilities of aspiring talents.

Her adventure began with us in 2014 when she joined our girls’ residential academy in Ghana – the first of its kinds in Africa. And at just 18, she became the first female graduate of our Ghana Academy to make the move to our community member FC Nordsjælland. A history maker from the get-go.

She quickly established herself in the Danish league, and today, she’s ready to take her talent to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in 2024.

According to Jessica Davis, Sports Director of FC Nordsjælland Women's League team, Bay FC is the perfect match for Princess.

“Of course, I'm incredibly proud of her, but also of us as an organization. She has had her football upbringing in Right to Dream and FCN, so it is fantastic to be able to send her safely on her journey,” said Jessica.

Princess also sees beyond the personal milestone. She acknowledges the power of her journey and as she steps onto the NWSL stage, she hopes to open doors for the next generation of female talents. “I hope young women can use me as an example and see that it’s possible.”

You're definitely paving the way for a generation of dreamers, and we're beyond proud to be part of your journey!

Keep inspiring, Princess!
