This month marks 10 years since FC Nordsjælland became part of the Right to Dream community.
10 years of finding new ways to create more opportunities and stronger pathways for young talent, while expanding and strengthening the Right to Dream model.
Over those 10 years, we’ve seen that vision come to life in so many ways. Below are just a few:
A pathway into the pro game

For generations of Right to Dream academy graduates, FC Nordsjælland has provided a route into professional football.
Many graduates of our Ghana and Denmark Academies have gone on to make their first-team debuts with FC Nordsjælland, with many of them progressing to some of the biggest leagues in Europe and representing their countries on the international stage.
FC Nordsjælland has also become a destination for talented young players from around the world, drawn to an environment where development comes first and young players are trusted with meaningful opportunities.
That belief in young talent has helped Right to Dream and FC Nordsjælland build a model recognised across the football world as one of the best for developing young talent.
Progress across all levels

In 2017, FC Nordsjælland expanded into girls' and women's football, launching a girls' academy alongside a professional women's team. This created a new pathway from academy football into the professional game in Europe.
Since then, the women's program has continued to grow. The first team won the domestic double in the 2023/24 season and has competed on the European stage, while the academy continues to develop the next generation of players.
The men's team has also carried the Right to Dream approach into European competition, while continuing to give young players opportunities at the highest level of the game.
Across the academy, the focus has remained the same: develop young talent, give them responsibility and create the environment they need to progress. The result is an academy recognised among Scandinavia's leading youth development environments, with a proven track record of producing players for the first team and clubs across Europe.
Lessons extending beyond FC Nordsjælland

The experiences of the past decade have shaped more than FC Nordsjælland.
The lessons learned through our journey together have influenced the continued growth of the Right to Dream community, influencing the growth of the community and laying foundations for new chapters in Egypt and San Diego while keeping the same the same values that brought us together.
Ten years of dreams becoming opportunities

There is no single moment that defines the past decade.
It is the academy graduates who made their debuts. The players who earned their first international call-ups. The young women who found a pathway into professional football. The teams that competed in Europe. The coaches and staff who helped young people develop. And the people across the Right to Dream community who have continued to build on what was started 10 years ago.
The past decade has given us plenty to celebrate. More importantly, it has given us experience to build on as we continue creating opportunities and stronger pathways for the next generation.
