FC Nordsjælland’s Director of Football will end his duties at the club in September after a 10-year journey with the club and the Right to Dream community.
The last three years Phil Radley has held the positions as Chief Operating Officer, Director of Football Operations, and later Director of Football, at FC Nordsjælland. Before that he played a big part of the football administration in Right to Dream. Now Radley, who has a background as a lawyer, will find his future challenges in the world outside the organisation for the first time in more than 10 years as he has requested to leave, after finishing the transfer window at FCN.
Director of Football Phil Radley:
-It was always the plan for me to have the responsibility at FC Nordsjælland for a period until others were ready to take over, and the situation and time were right for it to happen. I feel that time is now, and therefore it is in the best interests of the club, the organisation, and myself for me to try something new in my professional life and pass on the responsibility
-I can look back at my time at Right to Dream and FC Nordsjælland as an honour and a privilege. This organisation has achieved so many special things and will continue to do so because of the amazing people within it. To have played a small part in what Right to Dream and FC Nordsjælland have become, and will continue to be, is something that I will hold closely in my heart forever – and I will always know that Everyone has the Right to Dream. I will greatly miss being a part of the organisation, but I am very proud of the people that are now ready to drive the organisation forwards. I want to say thank you to all the people that have been a part of my journey – there are too many to mention them all, but a special thank you to Dan Dickinson, the Mansour family and especially Right to Dream’s founder Tom Vernon.
Right to Dream Group CEO Dan Dickinson:
-First of all, we need to thank Phil for his huge effort and hard work at FC Nordsjælland and before that at Right to Dream. We have tremendous respect for Phil’s desire to seek new challenges, and we wish him and his family all the best. We greatly appreciate, that Phil has accepted to fulfil his responsibilities at FCN in the best possible way by being available to help and support our sports department until the transfer window is closed. This has given us the opportunity and time to find the best possible solution to how we wish the club’s management of the sports department to look going forward.
FC Nordsjælland will later today announce its new Director of Football.
