EMERGING TALENT SCOUT

RIGHT TO DREAM 

The purpose of this role is to scout and identify high potential and talented 15-18 year olds for recruitment into Right to Dream.

The role will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of a talent identification strategy across Right to Dream communities with a core focus on West Africa.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate within the group scouting methodology to recommend high potential players for our international academy and first team clubs.

  • Coverage of select leagues and tournaments to identify the best 15-18 year olds across key countries.

  • Keep a diligent focus on debut minutes given to the best 15-18 year olds in select countries.

  • Creating showcase events for 15-18 year olds as alternative methods to identify talent.

  • Regularly utilise video scouting to identify new targets and support live scouting.

  • Reporting regularly on monthly targets and submitting recommendations for trial periods

  • Assist in the collection of background information on all target players.

  • Creating a shadow list and communicating key actions on high priority players to your line manager.

  • Develop an understanding of RTD’s trial procedures and work in a systematic fashion for optimal trialist success.

  • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within clubs and assigned regions and contribute to a progressive method of scouting.

  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and different cultural environments

  • Flexible approach to working hours

  • Should be able to travel approximately 2 weeks per month on the road

  • Ability to work as part of a broader multidisciplinary team

  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality

  • Proficient IT and written skills

  • Bilingual (English/French)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Talent ID certificate or equivalent qualification.

  • Prior experience of coaching or talent assessment and ID within football.

  • Experience in scouting and data technologies such as: Wyscout, Eyeball, ProSoccer Data, etc

  • Current or prior high level experience of scouting African and European talent.

  • Demonstrates a history of recommending players at a high level.

  • Capable of following key market trends and anticipating changes.
