FC Masar are Egyptian Women’s Premier League champions for the second year in a row, sealing the title with a 1–0 win over Zamalek in the penultimate round.
The victory capped off a fantastic campaign in which Masar went unbeaten, dropping points in just one draw and collecting 70 points.
FC Masar made their debut in Egypt’s top tier in the 2022–23 season, finishing sixth. Two years later, they’ve now claimed back-to-back league titles, two Egypt Cup trophies, and a third-place finish in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.
But the real story lies in how they’ve done it.
This season’s success came through a bold model built on development, trust, and opportunity. The squad, with an average age under 22, includes players as young as 17, balancing football with education, consistent with the Right to Dream philosophy.
Leading them is Abdelrahman Ayed, a 28-year-old head coach who has become the youngest ever to win the league. He guided the team to the title while staying true to our unique style of play, shared across the Right to Dream global community, all while fostering a team culture that values growth just as much as results.
“We’re not just chasing results. We want to earn them our way,” said Coach Ayed after the win. “Even after the win, we ask ourselves what we can do better. That mindset is what drives us.”
As the final whistle blew in Badya, home to Right to Dream Egypt Academy, the stands included more than fans. Girls from the Right to Dream Academy in Egypt were watching closely and seeing what the future could look like, and what might one day be theirs.
“This sends a message to the girls in our academy, that if they put in the work, their moment will come too.” Only three years into the journey, FC Masar is already building a legacy, a winning team, and a pathway, for young girls, coaches, staff, and the next generation of football leaders.
