Right to Dream USA has developed through the care of John Powers, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Right to Dream USA and former Executive Vice President of Boston Properties’ New York Region. We are especially committed to young women; the non-profit started the Girls’ Program back in Ghana in 2013, challenging traditional gender roles and providing opportunities for talented girls.

Right To Dream USA was established to oversee the transition and care of our Ghana academy graduates studying in the United States. It manages the relationships of our partner institutions comprising of high schools, colleges, universities, and athletic clubs. Our student-athletes are supported by a community of committed educators, trustees, volunteers, and alumni who enable the success and safety of our academy graduates in the US.

With Right To Dream’s vision to expand its global academies, Ron Del Mont was appointed as its Chief Development Officer for the USA in January 2022. The organization will enhance the pastoral care and services to its student-athletes, partner institutions, and host families while exploring growth opportunities for educational and soccer (football) pathways in the US.

Ron joined RTD with an extensive background in international sports and stakeholder engagement, including serving as FIFA’s in-country representative as the Managing Director for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the Head of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Office in South Africa.

“The opportunity to contribute to the emerging excellence with an organization rooted in purposeful pathways for children and young adults to fulfil their dreams is my most rewarding experience yet."
