Under 16 Head Coach, Ghana
Roles & Responsibility
The Under 16 Head Coach will be expected to support the football Department in the following ways.
Plan and deliver football coaching sessions to be conducted on the U16 Squad with the aim of improving and developing them to the best possible level
Implement the Academy coaching Style of Play and principles ensuring that clear and consistent messages are always communicated.
Work within the Training Methodology and Principles
Work in conjunction with the Head of Coaching, Technical Director and U16 squad performance staff to plan, deliver and review the coaching programme for the U16 squad;
Ensure that all multidisciplinary objectives across macro, meso and micro timeframes are achieved;
Lead preparations and manage all aspects of the U16 squad games programme
Discuss team and squad selections with the Head of Coaching & Technical Director prior to each fixture
Assist in Position Specific training for Upper academy players.
Ensure players Individual development plans are up to date and continually monitored and assessed with the players regularly.
In charge of Transition trainings i.e. U14, U15
Assist and collaborate with various components of the football department i.e., Lower Academy staff, Analysts, Sports science and Medical
Ensure all data on kitman labs is kept fully up to date and accurate for all training and games.
Develop a 6-week training plan for U16 squad, in line with the Right to Dream Tactical Periodization.
Organise and lead weekly team tactical and individual player progress meetings with the Technical Director, Head of Coaching, and members of the multidisciplinary performance staff.
Assist other components of the academy i.e., Character, purpose, and School with the aim of having more information to support the academy player.
Assessment of Trialists in the academy and report to the Technical Director
Matches, Tournament And Tours
Assist when required in the organization of a football tournament and matches hosted at Right to Dream Academy environment.
Assist when required in the organization and planning of tours and trips to play in football tournaments in Ghana and abroad.
Upon the instruction of the Technical Director, the football coach will be expected to support scouting duties/activities of various age in Ghana and abroad
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Experience of working with players at U16 elite level.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Strong Presentation skills.
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, welfare, and equality.
Competent in Microsoft Office and Apple software packages.
Previous experience of working abroad.
Competent in analysis software packages, i.e., Sports Code, Hudl and Wyscout.
Qualifications and Training
UEFA/CAF (or equivalent) A License or working towards.
Basic First Aid for Sport.
In date police clearance report, i.e., PVG, DBS
Degree in Sports Coaching/Science or teaching.
UEFA/CAF (or equivalent) Pro License or working towards.
