"Right to Dream taught me that if you want something bad enough, you will find a way. You can always make a difference however small that difference may be. I try to live by that."

James C Nortey is a 2nd Generation Right to Dream graduate who grew up in Accra. Graduating from the Academy in 2007, he won a student-athlete scholarship to attend The Hotchkiss School and later, Marquette University in the USA.

At Marquette, James majored in Social Welfare and Justice alongside a highly successful college soccer career. James was named on the All-Big East First Team for three years, where he scored 26 goals in over 50 games.

James signed a professional contract with Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe (AB) making his debut for the Danish side on June 4, 2016. He now works at our partner club FC Nordsjælland, delivering the club's integrated Character Development curriculum to the team's academy players, passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation.
