David Accam is a Right to Dream graduate who plays for MLS side Chicago Fire. He is a Ghana International and appeared for the Black Stars in the 2015 African Cup of Nations.

Born in the Teshie-Nungua area of Accra, Accam joined the Right to Dream Academy in 2004. After four years at the Academy, Accam was awarded a three-year scholarship to attend Hartpury College in the UK. He combined his study time in England with playing football for non-league teams, and won a place at the prestigious Nike Academy, featuring in 'The Chance'.

Following a brief spell at Ostersunds FK, he signed for 5-time Swedish champions, Helsingborgs IF in 2012 where he enjoyed two successful seasons as a free-scoring winger, before joining Chicago Fire in January 2015.

Blessed with pace and flair, Accam recently became the first ever Ghanaian to score an MLS hat-trick, with a dominant performance in a 4-0 win over Kaka's Orlando City.

Committed to giving back to others, in June 2016 Accam launched the David Accam community pitch in Kumasi alongside Right to Dream and partners Tullow Oil and the ENAS Hybrid School.
