Abu Danladi plays as a striker for MLS expansion side Minnesota United FC. He was named as the Number 1 Draft pick at the start of the 2017 MLS season - a key indication of his huge potential in the game.

From Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana, Abu joined UCLA on scholarship in Autumn 2014, after three years studying at Dunn High School in Los Olivos, California.

Following in the footsteps of fellow RtD graduate and LA Galaxy winger, Ema Boateng, he was named the Gatorade National Boys’ Soccer Player of the Year for the 2014 season.
