our story
pastoral care
Pastoral Care at RtD covers the moral, intellectual, spiritual, physical, mental and social well-being of our students which are all vital elements in their personal development.
Through a climate of respect, mutual trust and appreciation between the pastoral team and the students, RtD provides a caring community where all students can feel safe and secure. Standards of behaviour are clearly defined and genuine effort in all areas of personal growth are both recognised and rewarded encouraging positive development of the students’ characters and personalities.
All of our students partake in daily morning devotions and this, combined with regular religious education and weekly life skills sessions, encourages their spiritual and moral growth. Furthermore, the essential development of leadership and social skills are promoted by providing opportunities for students to apply for a host of leadership roles at the Academy.
Communication with parents and guardians is regularly undertaken by the pastoral team and the nutritional intake of our boys is constantly reviewed and modified to meet the standard requirement of active young teenagers.
The RtD students learn to appreciate other cultures and the pastoral support that is offered to them encourages our students to create a positive future for themselves and for their communities.
