Denmark, Mozambique, UK - it's all go for the Paralympic Programme

For the past 3 months, the team have been training hard under their new regime at the Academy. Coaches Alex and Ryan have been pushing the athletes to their max and identifying areas to work on in order to reach the necessary standard for qualification for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
During the last month, three of the athletes have travelled to compete at international competitions in order to gain experience on the world stage and to make their first attempt at recording the qualifying times.
Highlights have included:
- UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships - Alem competes on the world stage as 1 of 2 Africans
- All Africa Games - Anita wins a Bronze Medal at 1500m
- Trip to the UK - Anita gains 'B' qualifying standard in training
- Para-Power - Charles lifts 2.5km above qualifying standard in training
